Student Government Association
Meets every Wednesday at 5:00pm in Microsoft Teams.
The Student Government Association helps students shape decisions that affect their education and experiences while they develop leadership skills. The mission of the Student Government Association is:
Our goal as the Student Government Association is to serve and represent the student body of Asnuntuck Community College. In addition, the SGA promotes good citizenship and harmonious relationships with the college community. The SGA also provides students with opportunities to participate in leadership and college governance.
What does this actually mean?
The Student Government Association helps to promote extracurricular activities, various student groups, seasonal student functions, fundraisers and improvements to the school. We also represent the student body in assorted committees, including the Curriculum and Standards Committee, The College Council, and the Asnuntuck Community College Foundation.
What does it take to be in the Student Government Association?
Members should have the drive to help and represent their fellow students, work together as a team and display the ability to be a leader on and off campus.
