Training Model

Hands-On —When you come through the doors of the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center, you are there to get to work! In addition to manual projects that introduce the technologies, you will expand your understanding of equipment programming and mathematics.

Internship — You will be prepared for internship opportunities through exposure to principles of lean manufacturing, quality assurance, continuous improvement, safety standards, and more.

    To qualify for an internship, students must have:
  • 2.0 or above GPA
  • Good Attendance
  • Punctuality
  • A positive attitude
  • Successfully completed an interview with an internship company

Ready For Work — The broad base of training you will gain will prepare you to immediately engage in the specific training that each individual employer requires. Our 30+ advisory board members represent a wide range of regional industries, from aerospace to fuel cells to lasers to medical instruments.

All students will take a career awareness class, which will introduce students to resume writing and successful interviewing skills.  Students will learn to set career goals and to do job research so they will have the knowledge to locate companies and ultimately achieve employment.
