The course examines women's social, political, and economic positions in both primitive and industrialized societies, and traces the evolution of the status of women from pre-history to modern times. The mythologies of primitive and ancient peoples are also examined for clues into the nature of the female's role. A grade of C- is the passing grade for prerequisites in this category unless otherwise noted. Not regularly offered.
