PSY* 112; A grade of C- is the passing grade for this pre-requisite

This course explores the role of the counselor in a variety of therapeutic settings. Topics include theories of counseling, various counseling models, individual and group counseling, components of successful counseling, and conditions leading to and ways to prevent burnout. Students have the opportunity to practice a variety of counseling techniques. Offered: Fall, Spring.
