Children’s Literature

This course examines the best literature available to children including works by major writers and forms such as fable, folk tale, fairy tale, nursery rhyme, and short story. The course presents an overview of children's literature including picture books, traditional literature and contemporary children's fiction. Topics include critical analysis, the relationship of illustration and text and oral interpretation of children's literature. Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer.
