Asnuntuck Community College (ACC) in Enfield will hold an Enrollment Open House for prospective students on Wednesday, April 26 from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. to help new and continuing students apply and register for the summer and fall semesters.
Staff will be available to help with admissions, financial aid, advising, registration, and making payments. Tours of campus and information sessions for prospective students will be held, and Asnuntuck’s bookstore will also be open.
Faculty will also be on campus to discuss programs and course offerings in a wide variety of subjects including Asnuntuck’s advanced manufacturing technology program. Prospective students and families can also learn more about the college’s in-demand licensure career credentialing programs and certificates during the evening. The Open House will showcase in-demand careers, various short-term certification programs, and the college’s expert instructors. Learn about potential SNAP scholarships.
Those who would like to apply to Asnuntuck for the first time do not need to wait until the April 26 event to enroll and can start by applying online. Applications for the upcoming semesters Summer 2023 – http://bit.ly/3TOlcJT or Fall 2023 – http://bit.ly/3JRUUC2 can be completed prior to the Open House.
Before they are admitted, all new students entering an associate degree or credit certificate program must provide proof of high school completion or a high school transcript showing that graduation is imminent this summer and proof of immunization for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella.
Free college through PACT: Pledge to Advance Connecticut is still available to graduates of Connecticut’s high schools who have never attended college before. Accessing PACT and any financial aid starts with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.gov. PACT is not based on household income; all students who plan on attending full- or part-time should complete the FAFSA so they can access PACT, even if they do not think they will qualify for need-based aid. Additional information is available at ct.edu/pact. Assistance with the FAFSA will be available during the Open House.
A new student who attends the open house is accepted into a credit-bearing program for the summer 2023 term or fall 2023 semester, and registers for classes in person at the open house, will be entered for a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship from the ACC Foundation.
