On May 5, let’s celebrate life, together. Walkers of all ages are invited to walk at their own pace to help raise funds for the H&CHS Hospice Program.  This First Annual event will be held at the Asnuntuck Community College track.  Registration begins at 9:00 a.m., with the walk and a live butterfly release at 10:00 a.m.  Complimentary refreshments and other activities such as face painting and massage will await you at the finish line.

Walkers may participate individually, with their families, or as part of a team with friends, co-workers, schoolmates, etc. Registration (www.jmmc.com/events) is $25 per person (Children 12 and under are free), and we encourage you to help raise additional support for the Hospice program by asking friends and neighbors for pledges. A pledge form is attached, or use our new online pledge page which can link directly to your social media (Facebook, Twitter and others).  You can find this page at http://www.crowdrise.com/HCHSHospiceWalk-CelebrateLife.

This is such a fun way to get our organization out in the public in such a positive way! Any walker who raises funds in excess of the registration fee will receive a free water bottle in addition to their event t-shirt!

All proceeds, net of expense, will benefit the H&CHS Hospice Program and your donation will provide hospice clients access to equipment such as hospital beds, wheelchairs, commodes and walkers and services such as home health aides for personal care, skilled nurses for symptom management and social workers for emotional support, assistance with community resources and family issues.
