The Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center at Asnuntuck Community College (AMTC at ACC) is currently enrolling students for the fall semester.  The college is located at 170 Elm Street in Enfield.

Financial aid, scholarships, and internships are available at Asnuntuck for those who qualify. A $500 textbook scholarship ($250 for each semester), for one academic year is available to new full-time Advanced Manufacturing Technology students who qualify, have documented financial need, and are interested in evening advanced manufacturing classes.

Manufacturing is booming, and training provides graduates with careers, not just a job.  Asnuntuck offers programs in Precision Machining Technology, Welding Technology and Fabrication, Electronics Technology, and Electro-Mechanical Technology.  ACC’s program has state of the art equipment and software. ACC has instructors that are current with the trends of a manufacturing environment. The college offers more than 50,000 square feet dedicated to advanced manufacturing, including a 27,000 square foot facility designed exclusively for advanced manufacturing instruction.

The demand for skilled workers is high. Connecticut State Colleges and Universities, including Asnuntuck as an educational partner, have received an $8 million U.S. Department of Labor grant aimed at developing and expanding advanced manufacturing apprenticeships.

Contact Paul Felici at pfelici@asnuntuck.edu or call (860) 253-3189 to learn more about the program and/or to tour the facilities. Classes begin on August 27th at Asnuntuck.
