Asnuntuck Community College’s Foundation has received sponsorship support from area individuals and businesses for its upcoming fundraiser. The Foundation for the first time will be hosting Dueling Pianos. The fundraising program will be held on Thursday, May 20th at LaNotte Under the Tent in East Windsor.
Rockville Community Bank Foundation has committed as the Major and Sharp Note Sponsor, with Trinity Health New England serving as the Chairman Sponsor. People Bank Suffield and Vista Produce are Grand Piano Sponsors. Dr. Michelle Coach, Keating Real Estate and Linda Cote and Friends, have signed on as Table Sponsors. Andrew Associates will serve as Reception Sponsor for the fundraiser and McCaffrey Law is the event’s Dessert Sponsor.
Keith Madore, Executive Director of Asnuntuck Community College’s Foundation expressed his appreciation to the Sponsors. “The success of this event is crucial to the students in our community who rely on scholarships from the Asnuntuck Foundation to remove barriers and to help them further their education.” He added, “ By supporting this scholarship event our sponsors exhibit their commitment to higher education and workforce development in our community.”
Dueling Pianos-Music and Song for Scholarships will feature New York City Upscale Dueling Pianos performers Steve Laureti and David Ross. The performing duo will entertain the audience in an interactive evening, featuring a variety of tunes, including the music of Billy Joel, Journey, Frank Sinatra, Bruce Springsteen and more. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to battle to tip for scholarships to hear their favorite song.
Asnuntuck’s CEO Dr. Michelle Coach is enthusiastic about the new event. “Asnuntuck Community College is excited to launch a new fundraising event this year! Dueling Pianos will be an entertaining and lively event that will generate scholarship dollars for our students.” She added, “We are extremely happy that we will able to gather safely outdoors for the first time in over a year. Thank you to all that provide sponsorships and attend this event—we want to create life changing experiences for our students, and these donations are crucial for us to do so.”
Robyn Lee Miller from MorningBird Media and Jeffrey Lomma from Northwestern Mutual are serving as the event’s co-chairs. Other members of the event planning committee are Vicki Clark, Connecticut Commercial Realty, Linda Cote, Webster Bank, Glenn Ford, Phoenix Manufacturing, Tim St. James, Asnuntuck Community College and Margaret Van Cott, CSCU. Funds raised from the event will be used to help support student scholarships and programs at the college. The evening is set to begin at 6 p.m. and will also include an hors d’oeuvres reception and a silent auction, featuring gifts cards and baskets, artwork, cleaning services, and sports memorabilia.
