Asnuntuck Community College’s internationally known literary journal, Freshwater, will hold a Coffeehouse on Tuesday, October 13th. The evening will feature local authors Elizabeth Szewczyk and Allison McKeen (writes under the pen name Natalie Charles). The two are mother and daughter.  Elizabeth is author of the poetry collections This Becoming and On Burying Moths and Calendars and the memoirs My Bags were Always Packed and One Pound at a Time. Allison is the author of five novels, including The Coffee Girl and A Sweet Possibility.

The event takes place in the Strom Conference Room at Asnuntuck Community College, 170 Elm Street in Enfield at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served. The coffeehouse is free and open to the public. For more information, contact freshwater@asnuntuck.edu.
