The Asnuntuck Community College Early Childhood Education program is connecting with all of its alumni in a new way.  Two alumni have assumed the roles of Co-Chairpersons, spearheading events planned for ECE graduates.  Linda Allegro, Site Coordinator at the Stafford Family Resource Center and Alumni class of 2000 and Tanisha Wilson, recent graduate of Asnuntuck's early childhood education program, class of 2015, are the co-chairs.

A kick-off event will be held on Thursday, October 15th with a dinner.  All those who have earned their Associates degree in ECE are welcome to attend. "At this meeting, we will ask alums how they would like to get together in the future so that they can stay connected to classmates, the ECE program, and Asnuntuck," remarked co-chair Linda Allegro.

"Having Linda and Tanisha at the helm of this initiative brings together our program's history and its future.  Linda was in the first graduating class of the Early Childhood Education program and Tanisha has just graduated. Together they are a great representation of our program and college," said Carol LaLiberte. "I am hoping that at our kick off dinner alums will have fun and reconnect. We also want to plan future events and support current ECE students through fundraising for our Early Childhood Education Scholarship," Tanisha added.

Alums who are interested in being part of this newly formed group should mark their calendars and attend the October kick off.  All alumni can connect on the Asnuntuck Alumni Association Facebook page and are encouraged to do so.
