The purpose of this course is to enable students to organize, present, and analyze data by applying descriptive and inferential statistical methods and processes. Topics include exploratory data analysis, graphing techniques, measures of central tendency and variability, the normal distribution, correlation and regression, basic sampling theory, mean and proportion sampling distributions, confidence intervals, statistical inference, elements of hypothesis testing, and one and two sample tests for means and proportions. Graphing calculator required; TI84 recommended.
