This course is an introduction to Business Ethics. Students will explore the philosophical underpinnings of ethics, which will then be applied to the modern corporate environment. The macro and micro environment that impacts decision making, the context of the ever-increasing pressure for public and private corporations to increase profitability, and the social, moral and legal implications will be examined. The case method will be used to study actual corporate cases, as well as hypothetical cases designed to examine the philosophical, moral, sociological, and legal issues. Not regularly offered.
