This course focuses on the chemistry and metabolism of carbohydrates, amino acids, and lipids. The structure and function of proteins and enzymes will be studied and how they relate to diseases and real world applications. All diseases that are comprehensively understood can be explained using cellular biochemistry, therefore to understand health, and diseases, we must first understand biochemistry. (See also CHE* 220.)
