Gary Caravella, CNC Engineering and Barry Agosti, Koma Precision held their 10th annual Manufacturing Technology Golf Tournament. The Advanced Manufacturing Department at Asnuntuck Community College was the beneficiary of the $19,000 net proceeds raised during the Tournament.

 

In addition to leading the event, CNC Engineering, Inc. in Enfield and Koma Precision, Inc. in East Windsor were Titanium Sponsors. Proceeds from the event will benefit student scholarships.

 

The Asnuntuck Advanced Manufacturing Technology program is the model for the community college programs offered in Connecticut. The program has been instrumental in helping prepare students to fill positions for the in-demand manufacturing workforce. The college has a 27,000 square-foot Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center.

 

In addition to the Titanium sponsors, Steel Sponsors of the event were EDAC Technologies, Kamatics Corporation, Mastercam/CNC Software, Inc. and Tech Ed Products, Inc.

 

Associate Dean of Advanced Manufacturing Technology at Asnuntuck Mary Bidwell expressed the college’s gratitude to the organizers and sponsors of the event. “Asnuntuck is able to provide affordable educational opportunities to its students thanks to the support we have received for 10 years, from Gary Caravella and Barry Agosti. These two men and the sponsors they have helped secure, have assisted students in earning an education that prepares them for high demand, high paying careers.”
