Asnuntuck Community College’s Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society and the college’s Student Government Association are hosting “The Power of the Heart” movie with filmmaker and author Baptist de Pape in the college’s auditorium. The film will be screened on Wednesday, April 20th at 6:30 p.m. This film features interviews by some of the most inspiring and influential icons of our age including Paulo Coelho, Maya Angelou, Deepak Chopra, Isabel Allende and Eckhart Tolle. According to de Pape “The Power of the Heart” presents fascinating evidence that the heart is more than a physical organ. It possesses its own intelligence and can guide one to activate its special powers of intuition, intention, gratitude, forgiveness and love.

The event is free and open to the public. The filmmaker will participate in a Q & A following the film and a reception and book signing will be held in the Mary Lou Strom Conference Room at the college.
