The Foundation holds various fundraisers throughout the year, including their recent Murder Mystery Dinner and Auction. “Since its inception the Foundation has awarded $200,000 in scholarships to students to enable them to graduate and obtain employment,” says Jarmoc. In addition to scholarships the Foundation also awards mini-grants to staff and faculty at the college. Jarmoc noted that the college was awarded $25,000 for a new Mac Lab through Foundation funds. The Foundation has also made a 3- year $90,000 financial commitment to ACC’s Academic Skills Center.

The mission of the Asnuntuck Community College Foundation is to obtain funds from corporations, alumni, and the general community to assist in the development of programs to meet the economic, education, and employment needs of North Central Connecticut.
