A $20,000 donation to Asnuntuck Community College Foundation’s Capital Campaign, has been made by Andrew Associates, and its proprietors Graeme and Tina Bazarian.

The company and the couple have been strong proponents for the college. Andrew Associates has been financially supporting scholarships at the college since 2014.

In 2017, after expressing an interest in becoming more involved with Asnuntuck, the college invited Graeme to join the capital campaign committee. According to Director of Institutional Advancement and Community Engagement Keith Madore, the couple has been very captivated with the current expansions and improvements to the college and have made the gift in support of higher education for students from Western Massachusetts and North Central Connecticut.

“I’ve been very impressed with the programs run by Asnuntuck and with the ever increasing costs of higher education, making sure you’re spending your money wisely is more important than ever.  Asnuntuck has been providing its students with the skills and training to land good paying jobs as soon as they graduate.  The Advanced Manufacturing Center is the foremost example of this, providing exceptional training in one of the most sought after industries in the state,” said Graeme Bazarian, President of Andrew Associates.

This gift of $20,000 also includes a naming opportunity. They have selected the Veterans OASIS Center.

“Asnuntuck is very appreciative of the generous gift from Andrew Associates and Graeme and Tina Bazarian. It is gifts such as this one, which are made to the Capital Campaign, that enable the college to offer students an affordable and far-reaching education,” said Dr. James Lombella, President of Asnuntuck Community College.

The college’s Capital Campaign will continue through Summer of 2018.
