Asnuntuck Community College is pleased to announce – 2012-2013 evening division schedule for CNC machine technology coursework.

The late afternoon program will start Monday, August 27, and conclude first semester activities in early February of 2013.  The schedule of courses is available at ACC’s website and includes math I, blueprint reading, metrology, lean principles, solidworks, manual and CNC machining.  Students may attend full-time Monday through Friday from 5:00 – 9:30 p.m. and can complete the requirements for a college certificate and up to 34 credits over a 44 week timeframe.

Students can also choose to take one or two courses and participate weekly one or two evenings.  This represents a wonderful opportunity for presently employed persons to enroll in a course of special importance.  Others may be able to participate in the full program and can embark immediately thereafter on a long-term career in the advanced manufacturing sector.

“Asnuntuck Community College continues to pursue every option possible to assist youth and adults to participate in advanced manufacturing technology careers,” says ACC’s Director of Manufacturing Technology Frank Gulluni.
He continues, “Manufacturers in the region are seeking qualified personnel, and the need appears to be on the upsurge both presently and for the long-term.”

Visit ACC’s website for more information, or call Paul at (860) 253-3189, to arrange an appointment.  Tours are available and students can start the application process so that they are assured of a place as a full or part-time evening student in CNC machine technology for the fall semester.
