Asnuntuck Community College held a groundbreaking on its campus on Thursday, June 16th. A new front façade is being constructed at the Elm Street campus in Enfield. The 62,823 square foot project will feature a Conference Center, Cyber Café, offices and lounge and a new two-story building entry. Asnuntuck's project, with a construction cost of $7,771,250, also includes a new roof covering for 170,000 square feet of the building.
A campaign for Asnuntuck has been established through the Asnuntuck Community College Foundation. There are various levels of financial giving and several naming opportunities available, including the naming of the conference center, Cyber Café, Stairway to Success, art work and a mezzanine and bridge. United Bank recently donated $100,000 as part of the campaign.Their donation will be used toward the updating and relocation of Asnuntuck’s Academic Skills Center.
