Asnuntuck Community College’s Changing Lives program’s newest episode is hosted by ACC Dean of Continuing Education and Workforce Development, Eileen Peltier. Dean Peltier spoke with guests Michele Howard-Swan, Asnuntuck Allied Health Coordinator and Instructor; Jessica Poirier, Asnuntuck Continuing Education Coordinator; and Kelly Krivacs, Asnuntuck Esthetician Instructor, about the college’s healthcare career programs. The episode included a description of each of the 14 healthcare career certificate programs, which include Nail Technician; Basic Esthetician; Advanced Esthetician; Certified Medical Administrative Assistant; Medical Billing & Coding; Certified Pharmacy Technician; Veterinary Assistant; Ophthalmic Assistant; Massage Therapist; Certified Sterilization; Technician; Certified Phlebotomy & EKG Technician; Emergency Medical Technician; Personal Trainer, National Certification and Patient Care Technician.

The guests discussed what each training program entails and the types of jobs available to graduates. Several of the Continuing Education programs carry college credit. To support student success, Asnuntuck offers free, collaborative childcare, tutoring and transportation to all students.
